Shri Manu Srivastava, IAS
Chairperson, Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited

Mr. Manu Srivastava, a 1991 batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh Cadre, has held various responsibilities during his administrative career, both with Central Government and State Government. Currently, as Principal Secretary, New and Renewable Energy, Govt. of M.P. and Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited, he is spearheading the task of energizing the State with renewable energy.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Srivastava was Chairman of MP Discoms and Managing Director of M.P. Power Management Company Limited, the holding company of M.P. Discoms during 2012-15 and set roadmap for long term endeavours of the Discoms through 24x7 power to State and Atal Jyoti Abhiyan, which had substantial power cuts earlier. During initial years of his administrative career, he successfully discharged various responsibilities pertaining to Revenue Administration and Revenue Law in the State including Collector of Balaghat (1998-2000), Chhindwara (2000-02) and Khandwa (2002-04)

Mr. Srivastava had a very remarkable stint with Ministry of Commerce & Industries (MoCI) and Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG), Government of India 2004 to 2012. During 2004-06 in his tenure with MoCI, he looked after, inter alia, WTO matters, Free Trade Agreement discussions, patent issues and dumping matters. At MoPNG during 2006-12, he dealt with natural gas activities such as pricing, allocations, distribution, transportation, City Gas Distribution projects and LNG. He handled all issues pertaining to KG-D6 gas, including allocation and court case of GoI, RIL and RNRL. He gained a lot of experience in international negotiations and contract development during long discussions of trans-national pipelines, namely, Iran-Pakistan-India (IPI) and Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India(TAPI).

As a brilliant student belonging to the members of IIT fraternity, Mr. Srivastava earned both his degrees, B. Tech. (Electrical Engineering) and M. Tech. (Telecommunications), from IIT, Delhi.

Shri C. Kannan
Director (Finance), Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited

Mr. Kannan has got more than 31 years of rich & diverse experience primarily in Power & Steel Sector as a Techno-commercial and Finance Professional. A Mechanical Engineer cum Cost Accountant by profession, Mr. Kannan before joining Solar Energy Corporation of India on 4th December 2012, has had extensive work experience both in the Public and Private sectors in reputed companies like PowerGrid Corporation of India Ltd., Neyveli Lignite Corporation Ltd. etc. He handled various multidisciplinary functions like Finance & Accounts (in the areas of Finance Concurrence, Revenue Accounting, Finalization of Accounts, Treasury Management, IPO and Commercial Management), Regulatory Affairs, Merger and Acquisition, Contract Management and Operation & Maintenance of Thermal Power Station.

Mr. Kannan played a key role in Power Gridís expansion, its financial planning and strategic growth. He was responsible for taking up various policy advocacy issues with the CERC and instrumental in the process of opinion making/ policy formulation of the Power Grid on various initiatives of CERC with regard to framing/ revising the regulations related to transmission sector. He was also associated in the due diligence of a major steel company worth of USD 525 million in Oman for successful acquisition.

Shri Remesh Kumar K.
General Manager (Solar), Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd.

A professional having experience of more than 28 years in Power Sector. B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from University of Calicut. Joined in NTPC as Executive Trainee in the year 1988 and worked in various fields like Thermal Power Plant Operation & Maintenance, Project Construction, Commissioning, Field Quality Assurance, Project Planning and Monitoring etc. in various capacities upto the level of Additional General Manager. Joined Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. in March, 2013 as General Manager and presently heading the Solar Division, IT Division and Corporate Planning Division. Has been fully involved in implementation of projects under National Solar Mission like 750 MW, 2000 MW, 5000 MW, VGF Schemes etc. apart from development of various Solar Parks
